4. PRODUCT LISTING AND CONTENT POLICY
4.1 Listing Accuracy and Disclosure Requirements
Every listing must include:
- product name, brand, model or variant
- accurate description and key attributes
- materials, composition, ingredients where applicable
- country of origin and manufacturer details where required
- usage instructions and storage instructions where relevant
- disposal or recycling guidance where relevant
- warranty details where applicable
- safety warnings where applicable
Misleading or incomplete disclosures may lead to rejection or removal.
4.2 Sustainability Claims Rules
Sustainability language must be:
- specific, contextual, and measurable where possible
- supported with documents, testing, certifications, or sourcing proof not absolute unless truly provable (avoid “100% sustainable” unless defensible)
Examples of unacceptable claims:
- “eco-friendly” with no explanation
- “carbon neutral” without supporting evidence
- “biodegradable” without conditions and standard references
- “non-toxic” without ingredient transparency or testing basis
4.3 Prohibited Products and Restricted Items
The Platform prohibits listings of:
- counterfeit or pirated products
- products that violate Indian law
- banned or restricted substances
- wildlife-protected items or illegal forest-derived products
- products that encourage unsafe or harmful practices
The Platform may also restrict products that conflict with the mission of responsible consumption, even if legal, when they are clearly misaligned with sustainability standards.
4.4 Content Standards
Sellers and users must not upload:
- false information
- abusive, hateful, or harassing content
- misleading sustainability imagery or fake certificates
- content that violates third-party rights
The Platform may edit or remove content that violates standards.
4.5 Intellectual Property and Brand Rights
Sellers must have rights to:
- product images
- brand names and trademarks
- marketing claims and label representations
If a complaint is received, the Platform may:
- temporarily remove listings
- request proof of rights
- permanently remove sellers for repeated infringement
