PLANET POSITIVE LIFE OFFICIAL PLATFORM POLICIES

3. SELLER ONBOARDING, OPEN LISTING, CURATION AND BACKGROUND CHECKS

3.1 Open Listing with Strict Curation

  • planetpositivelife.store allows sellers to apply to list products. However:
  • listings are not automatically approved
  • seller onboarding requires verification and background checks
  • product listings are reviewed for compliance and claim substantiation
  • the Platform may accept, reject, pause, or remove listings and sellers based on standards
This approach supports scale while protecting trust and preventing greenwashing.

3.2 Seller Eligibility Requirements

Sellers must:
  • be legally registered business entities or verified entrepreneurs
  • maintain GST compliance where applicable
  • comply with consumer product regulations and labeling requirements
  • comply with labor laws and fair workplace practices
  • comply with environmental laws and applicable sector-specific requirements
  • ensure products are safe and lawful for sale in India

3.3 Background Checks and Due Diligence

The Platform may perform checks including:
  • business registration validation
  • GST and tax verification
  • compliance declarations for product safety and legal labeling
  • review of website, marketplace presence, or brand credibility
  • validation of certifications (organic, FSC, GOTS, cruelty-free, etc.) where claimed
  • checks for history of repeated consumer complaints, counterfeit claims, or regulatory penalties where feasible
Sellers must cooperate. Non-cooperation may lead to rejection or suspension.

3.4 Sustainability Screening and Claim Validation

  • Sellers must ensure all sustainability claims are:
  • accurate and not exaggerated
  • supported with evidence
  • clearly explained on the listing

Examples:

  • If “recycled content” is claimed, specify percentage and material type where possible.
  • If “plastic-free” is claimed, clarify packaging and product components.
  • If “organic” is claimed, provide certification details or verified sourcing evidence.
Greenwashing is treated as a high-severity violation.

3.5 Ongoing Monitoring and Periodic Reviews

Approval is not permanent. The Platform may:
  • audit listings randomly
  • request updated documentation
  • investigate complaints and returns trends
  • suspend or remove listings that violate standards
  • downgrade visibility or remove sustainability tags when claims are weak or unclear

3.6 Seller Responsibilities for Operations

Sellers must:
  • maintain accurate inventory
  • dispatch on time and keep tracking updated
  • ensure packaging quality and sustainability compliance
  • respond to customer queries within defined timelines
  • manage returns and replacement workflows
  • comply with settlement and reconciliation processes
